Ernie and the Automatics is a Boston-based band made up of former members of Boston and RTZ with Ernie Boch, Jr. at the helm. With Barry Goudreau and Sib Hashian of Boston on guitar and drums, and Tim Archibald and Brian Maes of RTZ on bass and keyboards, the band combines decades of experience to create an exciting mix of blues and rock featuring two distinct guitar sounds from Boch Jr. and Goudreau. Johnny A. is a widely celebrated contemporary guitarist known for fusing blues, rock, pop and jazz into his own signature style. Jazz guitarist Mimi Fox has released two CDs as a leader on Steve Vai's Favored Nations label, performed with everyone from Charlie Hunter, Stanley Jordan and Kenny Burrell to Branford Marsalis and David Sanchez, and been named a Downbeat "Rising Star" for the past four years. Fox is Chair of the Guitar Department at the Jazz School in Berkeley and an adjunct professor at New York University.
